About Siivix Oy
We test the hardware other companies are betting their programs on.
Siivix Oy is an independent testing and simulation infrastructure company based inHelsinki, Finland. We design IoT and UAV testing platforms for clients who cannot afford a field failure — and we are the parent company behind Zone of War.
Our mission
Make testing data the foundation of every deployment decision.
Most IoT and UAV programs fail in the field for reasons that were testable in the lab — a sensor drifting outside spec under thermal load, a radio link degrading under interference no one modeled, a flight controller behaving differently once real payload weight is attached. Siivix Oy exists to catch those failures before they become expensive, dangerous, or public.
We built our name on contract testing work for IoT hardware manufacturers, then extended into UAV hardware-in-the-loop testing as aerospace and defense clients came to us with the same underlying problem: they needed testing infrastructure that reflected reality, not a datasheet. That same discipline is what powers Zone of War, our simulation platform — every scenario it runs is built on data from systems we have actually tested.
How we got here
From contract testing lab to simulation platform company.
Founded in Helsinki
Siivix Oy starts as a contract testing lab for IoT hardware manufacturers, building rigs to validate connectivity, power, and environmental resilience.
UAV testing practice launched
Demand from aerospace clients pushes Siivix into hardware-in-the-loop UAV testing — flight controllers, payload integration, and comms validation.
Internal simulation tooling begins
To reduce range time, the team builds internal scenario simulation tools that reuse real testing data instead of generic physics assumptions.
Zone of War becomes a product
The internal simulation core is generalized into Zone of War, a standalone platform for universities, corporations, and government programs.
How we work
Principles that carry across every engagement.
Data before assumptions
Every simulation and test rig we build is anchored to measured hardware behavior, not idealized models. If we have not tested it, we do not claim it.
Independent verification
We design testing programs so results are reproducible by a third party — a requirement we inherited from working with research and government clients.
Built for regulated environments
Our platforms are designed to work inside the compliance, security, and procurement constraints of universities, industry, and government from day one.
Corporate structure
Siivix Oy is the parent company of Zone of War.
Zone of War is developed, hosted, and supported by Siivix Oy. The platform is not a separate vendor bolted onto our testing business — it is the direct product of it. The physics models, sensor-response curves, and failure modes inside Zone of War come from the same hardware-in-the-loop rigs we use for client testing engagements, which is why institutions evaluating the platform can request the underlying testing methodology, not just the simulation output.
